MUSEUM OF GRAFFITI: AS SEEN ON HYPEBEAST
Museum of Graffiti partnered with legendary graffiti artist Lady Pink and global sportswear company Champion for an epic unisex t-shirt that celebrates graffiti art, fashion, and steps toward sustainability. The limited edition collaboration is printed on a hand tie-dyed Champion tee, made up of some of the most responsibly produced fiber in the world. Pink’s iconic “tag” appears in white across the front of the shirt.
Known as the First Lady of Graffiti, Lady Pink is considered one of the most recognizable graffiti artists in the world. She is a cult figure, being a rare female artist who carved out a space for herself in the boy’s club of graffiti art, having started to paint on NYC subway trains in the 1970’s and produced work for gallery shows by 1980 while she was still in high school.
The new tees are available now exclusively at the Museum of Graffiti gift shop and via our online shop for the duration of Lady Pink’s current exhibition entitled Graffiti HerStory. The show displays a body of work inspired by the two hemispheres that make up Pink’s life: activism and graffiti art. “We chose to present a show that highlights Lady Pink’s efforts to make our world a better place through social activism and then involve Champion as our fashion partner due to their unwavering commitment toward sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint,” said Allison Freidin, co-Founder of the Museum of Graffiti.
