Jona Cerwinske is a Miami-based artist known for his intricate black-and-white compositions that blend graffiti, fine art, and stream-of-consciousness drawing. With roots in street art, Cerwinske rose to prominence by transforming unconventional surfaces—like cars, sneakers, and entire buildings—into spontaneous, highly detailed works of art. His signature style is created without preliminary sketches, allowing intuition to guide the outcome. Described as both rebellious and refined, his work bridges the gap between high and low culture. Most recently, Cerwinske’s solo exhibition Dog Ate My Homework at the Museum of Graffiti explores themes of failure and creativity through immersive, satirical installations that continue to challenge artistic norms.
