This show tells a new story about a Puerto Rican artist from New York’s downtown graffiti scene that really never got his due – until now. At fourteen years old, LA2 (b. Angel Ortiz), began a six-year period of collaboration with Keith Haring during both artists’ most formative time. The two artists' distinct styles merged into a shared visual language, carrying Ortiz's street-born line work onto a global stage and helping define an era of art that emerged from Manhattan’s lower east side in the 1980s.
