OUTSIDE INSIDE: Entes and his Strappo Invention
OUTSIDE INSIDE: Entes and his Strappo Invention
Featuring: Entes
The works presented in Outside Inside emerge from Strappo, a process developed by Entes to extract his murals directly from the walls on which they were painted. Through this act of removal, images once destined to disappear are preserved and given a new life beyond
the street.
Outside Inside presents a body of work suspended between two worlds. Neither wholly mural nor conventional painting, these works preserve not only an image but also the physical evidence of place—fragments of the city rescued from disappearance and
transformed into enduring records of memory, community, and time.
Entes has been actively involved in street-based artistic practice since 1998 and has participated in festivals and exhibitions in nearly 60 cities worldwide. He studied Fine Arts at the Corriente Alterna School of Fine Arts in Lima (2005–2011). He has held solo exhibitions in Lima (ICPNA, Circuito Mágico del Agua), Miami (Scope Festival), New York (Superchief Gallery), and Bogotá (MAC). He has also participated in group exhibitions in Miami (Museum of Graffiti, Miami Art Society, and Superchief Gallery), New York (Poster House), and Lima (Galería Luis Miró Quesada Garland). His work has also been presented at art fairs such as Arte Clandestina Miami (2024), Art Miami (2023), Scope Miami (2021 and 2022), Scope New York (2021), and Art Lima (2019).
