CASH4 'Free Lap Dance'

CASH4 (Russell Murphy) is a Brooklyn-based contemporary artist and graffiti writer whose work bridges raw street culture with sharp architectural satire. Born in 1984 in Buffalo, New York, his gritty aesthetic was shaped by his industrial Rust Belt upbringing and his formal training at Syracuse University, where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture. This background in spatial design allows him to reframe urban decay as a canvas, using a ubiquitous street moniker that parodies predatory "Cash 4 Cars" advertisements. Through postmodern irony and apocalyptic wit, Murphy disrupts daily routines to critique consumerism and gentrification. He translates his heavy-hitting street practice into highly sought-after studio works, repurposing discarded political signs and cardboard into vibrant mixed-media paintings.
