Shirt King Phade (Edwin "Phade" Sacasa) is a pioneering New York graffiti artist who helped transform graffiti into wearable art during the early days of hip-hop. After moving from painting subway trains to customizing airbrushed T-shirts, Phade and the Shirt Kings became among the first artists to commercialize graffiti, laying the foundation for what many consider modern streetwear.
